Next Meeting of the Network: October 16-18, 1997
The next Network meeting will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, October 16-18, 1997, at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta. Attendees will again be eligible for Category 1 CME credits. Invited speakers include: Bruce Chabner, Derek Raghavan, Franco Cavalli, Vincent DeVita, Patrick Loehrer, William Wood, Eric Rowinsky, and Craig Henderson. Many important topics will be covered, including contemporary and developing treatments of breast, lung, and colon cancers, genetic technologies and new drugs. A separate meeting will be held for nurses and administrators to discuss practice management issues, such as defining cancer care or how to determine what services to include in a capitated contract; how the regulatory environment affects capitation; obtaining the best capitated rate for cancer care, and creative contracting and direct contracting strategies.
