Joan Bladé, M.D.
Dr. Bladé was named Senior Consultant of the Department of Hematology at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, after over 2 decades on staff. He served as executive secretary of the Spanish cooperative group PETHEMA, from 1993 to 2001, and has been chairman of the PETHEMA trials on multiple myeloma since 1985. Dr. Bladé is a member of the Myeloma Subcommittee of the Chronic Leukemia Working Party of the EBMT, the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Myeloma Board, and of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
