Ursula Goldmann-Posch
Ursula Goldmann-Posch
Ms. Goldmann-Posch, born in Bolzano, Italy, is a journalist and breast cancer survivor. She studied comparative linguistics and literature at the University of Padua, and continued in journalistic studies in Germany. She was a long-time member of the editorial staff of Weltbild and Die Welt, and has published several articles and books of her own. Ms. Goldmann-Posch is founder and chairwoman of "mamazone - Women and Genomics Against Breast Cancer" (www.mamazone.de) in Augsburg, Germany, and works in Germany to increase patient education and communication. Recently she founded the foundation PA.T.H. - Patients' Tumorbank of Hope, in Hannover, the first fresh frozen tumor tissue bank owned by cancer patients for the needs of cancer patients and cancer research.
