Maurice Schneider, M.D.
Prof. Schneider joined the Centre Antoine Lacassagne in Nice in 1972, where he is now Head of the Division of Medical Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine. Until 1985 he was also Assistant Manager of the Centre. Prof. Schneider was the first General Secretary of ESMO, as well as one of the founders, in 1975, of the Société de Médicine Interne Cancérologique-the predecessor to ESMO. In addition to ESMO, Prof. Schneider is a member of ASCO,AACR, and EACR. He also participates in several oncology groups and committees on regional and national levels.
